About Me
I hate doing this stuff, but here’s a recent bio:
Michael Nevins
With more than 18 years’ experience in technology, media and entertainment, Michael has focused on helping brands, agencies, content creators and publishers to engage audiences through creative application of emerging media platforms.
Michael is a partner in the firm Breakpoint Digital, a boutique business development and strategy consultancy for clients focused on digital media, CE, mobile and web technologies. As a consultant, he works with content owners and brands to develop integrated mobile content and marketing strategies.
Most recently, Michael held the position of Senior Partner, Group Director
Mobile Technologies at GroupM (A WPP Company) where he led mobile strategy for clients in categories such as CPG, pharma, financial, QSR/retail, and telecom.
Previously, Michael held the position of VP Sales at Crisp Wireless where he helped top-tier content publishers and brands to launch many of the mobile web’s earliest significant properties and campaigns. These include USAToday/Gannett, Tribune, NBC, NPR, A&E, Discovery, E!, Comcast, Bravo, Washington Post/Newsweek/Slate, Fandango, Burger King, Unilever, Cars.com and others.
Earlier, Michael was Director of Industry Relations at Muze Inc, where he managed relationships with senior executives at music labels, home video distributors and book publishers and launched the company’s audio streaming products for retailers.
As principal of Traction Media Group, Michael launched innovative projects for marketers including V2 Records, Maxell, Subway and Nikon. Previously, Michael managed major recording artists, was a key player in the development of two-time Grammy winning/RIAA Platinum recording artist, Living Colour and produced music and sound design for advertising and television. Living in New York City with his wife and son, Michael enjoys a variety of extreme sports and whacky hobbies for which he is clearly too old. Few people know, but Michael is also a professional kite flyer and giant kite wrangler.
